Set your name and email for commits
Every commit needs an author.
Git writes a name and an email address into each commit. Set them once in Settings under Commit identity and tap Save.
- GiCode uses them for every commit you make, in all repositories.
- Use the email address that is linked to your GitHub or GitLab account if you want commits to show your profile picture there.
