The first App Store release
GiCode 1.1026.0 is the first App Store release: a complete Git client for iPhone.
New
- Clone repositories over HTTPS (access token) or SSH from GitHub, GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, self-hosted GitLab or any Git URL – with live progress and groups.
- Code editor with syntax highlighting, find & replace, go to line, a keyboard bar and Markdown preview.
- Complete Git workflow: per-file diffs, commit and push, pull, branches, history, revert, discard and merge conflict resolution.
- Pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab) with jobs, live logs, re-run and cancel, plus pull / merge requests and issues.
- Repositories show up in the Files app under GiCode.
- Free plan (5 repositories, 2 accounts), a 7-day Pro trial and GiCode Pro as a one-time purchase.
- New jellyfish logo as the app icon, light and dark.
Improved
- iPhone only, portrait only – the interface is tuned for it.
- Settings explain that the Files location must be activated once and can open the Files app directly.
Fixed
- Repositories were missing in the Files app: its index now tracks only the repository folders and registers deeper items on demand, so large repositories no longer exhaust the extension's memory. The Files app also re-reads the repository list on every launch.
- The header back buttons accidentally opened the menu; the enlarged tap area is now anchored to each icon.
